About us
Colbert Family Farm is run by brothers Chase and Chandler with the help of their parents Kathy and Charlie near the Gulf Coast in Poplarville, Mississippi.
Growing up in Mandeville on the Northshore, the only pet we had was a goldfish, but farming is in our nature; our grandparents and great-grandparents were Iowa farmers, and we always wanted to return to the land.
In 2020, our family began a search for a homestead to be closer to the land, raise a garden, and depend less on "the system." In that search, we found a gorgeous farm near Poplarville that brought a wonderful opportunity. Not only could we produce food for ourselves, but we would have the resources to make a livelihood of raising food for others.
We began by learning about holistic land management from inspirational folks like Joel Salatin and Greg Judy. By working with the nature of our animals and harnessing symbiotic relationships, we produce excellent meat and eggs while enriching the soil and the life that grows in and above it.
Now, we continue to regenerate our land each day through raising sheep, cattle, goats, chickens, and turkeys. We currently sell lamb, eggs, and beef.

Our practices include:
- No antibiotics, hormones, or vaccines!
- Grass-fed: No grains for grazing animals!
- Rotational grazing with daily moves.
- No herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, etc.
- Letting animals express their nature.
- Emphasizing symbiotic relationships.
